Shawn Ewell attended Purdue University, Lafayette, IN with a BA in Communications and pursued a Masters Program in Organizational Communications. After earning his degree, Shawn pursued a career in retail management for Macy's Galleria, Dallas, TX, Neiman Marcus NorthPark, Dallas, TX and Saks Fifth Avenue, Beverly Hills, CA. From this valuable experience, "The most important part of Retail is by far is customer service and customer satisfaction." He has applied 20 years of retail management experience to his real estate career.
Shawn received his real estate license in July of 2005 and moved permanently to Palm Springs from West Hollywood. He joined Domus Partners with Zephyr Real Estate, Palm Springs from 2005-2010. In 2011 - Present, Shawn and Randy Roy created Domus Designs to combine their love of real estate and interior design. From 2010-2017, Domus Partners joined HK Lane Real Estate, Palm Desert. Domus Partners were one the top producers for Berkshire Hathaway, Palm Desert from 2017-2018. Today, Shawn is proud to be an agent for the Domus Realty Partners, Palm Desert in the heart of the shopping district, El Paseo.
Beyond the office, Shawn enjoys giving back to his community by volunteering and contributions for the Palm Springs Animal Shelter, Joslyn Center, Women's Desert Expo and American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. He is a member of Sunrise Country Club and Purdue University Alumni Association. Former member of Canyon Country Club, Palm Springs and Ironwood Country Club, Palm Desert.
Mitch Ohlbaum is a licensed real estate broker and loan officer with more than 27 years of experience in the industry. Mitch launched his first business in Los Angeles, Legend Mortgage Corporation, which he grew from sole proprietorship to 25 loan agents and 3 office locations. Annual volume of residential mortgage brokering at Legend Mortgage surpassed $500 million, and the company was named a preferred lender with several national banks including Wells Fargo, Bank of America and Washington Mutual. After 17 years at the helm of Legend Mortgage, he recognized a critical need for alternative sources of financing for qualified borrowers who were not being served by traditional lending institutions. In 2008, he founded Macoy Capital Partners, Inc. to facilitate and provide other sources of reliable capital for qualified applicants.
As President of Macoy Capital, Mitch is responsible for business development and loan acquisition for privately funded residential, commercial, and construction loans. He has developed an extensive referral network and established relationships with multiple investors throughout the United States. Mitch has utilized his knowledge and innovation to make Macoy Capital an industry leader in private lending, having closed over $200 million, consistently increasing annual revenue, and adding new sources of capital and clients. Macoy Capital has an outstanding reputation in the market as a direct result of their high-performance standards and a proven track record of delivering quality service on time.
Recognized as a leader within the real estate industries, Mitch has been featured as an expert in the media including appearances on CNBC as well as dozens of interviews in major publications including: The Wall Street Journal; Business Week; LA Times; and the LA Business Journal. He is also a longtime and weekly contributor to the rate trend index Bankrate.com. Mitch graduated from American University in 1984 with a BSBA where he double-majored in finance and real estate.
